Playground Improvement

While Ringgold is fortunate to have two play areas for the neighborhood children, the equipment has grown tired over the years and the sand dirty. Our goal is to install new playground surfacing as well as new play equipment. New playground surfacing in both play lots would allow the children to enjoy a cleaner play environment, as well as provide an easier park to maintain. March’s heavy rainstorms rendered the foundation of the swing set unstable. The Department of Parks and Recreation removed it for the safety of the park goers. We are advocating for the City of Boston to include funds for new playground equipment in its Capital Improvement budget for 2011–2012.
